Moonlight Confessions came about when Bill Winchester decided it was time to record and release a few of the songs that he had written over 30 years. The CD containing original songs was released on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, CD Baby and other music outlets. All recordings were done at The Recording Company in Esperance NY, https://www.therecordingcompany.com/ and all tracks are original copyright works that were written and recorded by Bill Winchester.
Bill used some talented musicians to help in the process and fill in behind his music tracks. There were people from bands like Bicycle Mary to help round out the tracks, and Bob Boyer from The New York Players for some ornamental flute in the song called “I Don’t Know”. He also used a talented jazz bongo player, Carmen Schettine, to add his rhythmic bongo beats to two of the tracks, “Closing Time” and “I Don’t Know”.
The last song on the CD is a completely different style from the rest and was written to be used for the opening credits on a television show called the Weekly Burghy (season3) that aired in 30,000 homes in northern New York and on the SUNY Plattsburgh television station. Though Bill wrote the music and recorded the track for that song, the Director of the show added a singer to the final video cut that aired on television show for the opening in 2012, but does not appear on Bill’s CD copyright cut.
